Grade 4 PYP at PWE Cafe Chat

Welcome to our 3rd episode of our PYP at PWE Cafe Chat podcast series! We’re moving up to Grade 4 to chat with Ms. Lederer, Ms. Mendes and Mr. Pella about their thoughts and values around education here at Prairie Waters. Education isn’t just about covering curriculum. In fact, in order to even reach that stage, there are many underlying factors that need to be addressed and given ample time to develop. The grade 4’s spent some time talking about what those factors are, and how critical they are from the eyes of the educator to ensure the success of every learner who we encounter. We hope you enjoy what they have to say.

Again, please take a moment to share your comments once you have listened in on their podcast. We are always eager to keep the conversation going!

ALSO! Exciting news! We have a real-deal podcast channel set up through iTunes! Head over to the podcast app, or to the podcast menu in iTunes and subscribe to our Podcast, PYP at PWE and listen while you’re on the go!

Grade 1 PYP at PWE Cafe Chat

Next up in our PYP Cafe Chat podcast series is our remarkable Grade 1 team! Mrs. James, Ms. Mrak, Mrs. Schiltz and Mr. Morey sat down to talk about their priorities, passions and pursuits in education (spoiler alert – I think you’d ALL like to be students in their playful classrooms!). Grab your tea, coffee, hot chocolate or whatever your cafe drink of choice may be, curl up and listen to these incredible educators share their insights.

We encourage you to leave comments once you’ve had a chance to listen to the podcast to keep the conversation going! For your reference – the school that Jeff talks about, Opal School, is based in Portland, Oregon, and most of our staff have had the opportunity to travel to it in order to engage in professional learning around playful inquiry.

Happy listening!
